The Madison Circus Space is pleased to be able to offer scholarships for community members who demonstrate financial need and interest in the circus arts. We have three scholarship funds:
- General Scholarship. Available for any class, activity, program, or membership at MCS.
- Aerial Scholarship. Available for aerial-specific classes, activities, or memberships.
- BIPOC Scholarship. This fund has been established to address barriers that Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) face. Compared to their white peers, BIPOC members of the community are underrepresented in circus. Available for any class, activity, program, or membership at MCS or as a travel stipend for a visiting instructor.
To request a scholarship, please fill out and submit the application below. Note that due to limited funds, the MCS is only able to provide a maximum of $165 assistance per applicant annually from each fund.
Candidates will be judged on the strength of their completed applications, their degree of financial need, and their willingness to partially contribute with their own funding, if possible. Please submit your application at least one week in advance of your scheduled class or activity to allow the committee adequate time to review. Scholarships cannot be award retroactively.
