Purpose: Recognize groups of apparatuses where skills are substantially equivalent / transferrable and those that are substantially different. If an aerial member is approved on one apparatus in a group, s/he may fly on other apparatuses in same group with either instructor approval or a separate test-in video (requirements here) on the new apparatus.
- Vertical: Silks, rope, sling, cloud swing
- Horizontal: Trapeze, lyra, sling, cloud swing
- Other: Straps, pole, etc. These apparatus are handled on a case-by-case basis. Depending on your experience level, you may be approved to use each additional apparatus with instructor recommendation or with a separate test-in video.
Note: No apparatus-specific approval is required for aerial members to use any aerial equipment for conditioning purposes only.
