Winter 2018 session’s special topics class is Inversion Immersion!

During each silks session, a special topics class will be offered that covers skills above and beyond learning new tricks. Topics will include things like sequencing, specific skill immersions, conditioning, musicality, choreography, and more.
Inversion Immersion is a 90-minute class offering targeted inversion training, including assessment of current inversion skills, targeted conditioning and inversion development drills, new inversion challenges, personal trouble shooting and goal setting, and a supportive, encouraging atmosphere! Open to any level student, this class can help you nail your first inversion or move your inversions up a level, no matter where you’re at!
This class is open to any student age 16+ who has completed at least one full class session of silks with any instructor.
Students have the option of registering for the entire session or for drop-in classes paid weekly.
Mackenzie has an extensive background in dance and movement performance and education, with studies at Macalester College and Iowa State University. Adding in aerial arts in 2010, she practices, choreographs, directs, and performs in shows at MCS and other local venues. As an instructor, she strives to develop solid foundational skills in her students by focusing on each student’s unique physiology and needs to help them be the best aerialist they can be.
