Class Description

Have you been curious about aerial silks, sling, or dance trapeze but classes don’t meet your schedule, fill up too fast, or you want more individual attention? You can still get the aerial arts experience, with careful instructor supervision, and tailored to your needs!  Semi-private group classes have a maximum of 3 students but can also be booked by just one person. Each student can select which apparatus and which skills they wish to work on in class.

Classes will assess your current skill level, work to build your agility and confidence in foundation moves, and focus on proper alignment, muscle engagement, and of course grace! Semi-private classes move at YOUR pace, and focus on your strengths and artistry with customized lessons and direction.

About the Instructor

Mackenzie has an extensive background in dance and movement performance and education, with studies at Macalester College and Iowa State University, and aerial training with NECCA and Born to Fly. Beginning her studies in aerial arts in 2010, she practices, choreographs, directs, and performs in shows at MCS and other local venues. As an instructor, she strives to develop solid foundational skills in her students by focusing on each student’s unique physiology and needs to help them be the best aerialist they can be.
