3:30 pm: Performance Workshop (Can climb silks to ceiling repeatedly, footlock from a climb)
Wednesdays, Sept 8 – Oct 13
7:30 pm: Sling 2/Intro Sling for Aerial Students (Has completed an intro level class series in any apparatus)
Thursdays, Sept 9 – Oct 14
8:15 pm: Beginner 2 and up Silks (Has completed at least 1 introductory session with any instructor)

Passes and Subscriptions: Swing State Aerial offers a 10-class pass good for Summer 2021, and a weekly flat-rate subscription to pay weekly that can be used to register for any regularly scheduled group silks class with Mackenzie. Please see our website for details.

Classes can be registered for as a full session or as individual classes. Registration for individual classes ends 4 hours before the start of class.
Beginner 2 and up Mixed-Level Silks: (Pre-requisite – 5-6 intro level silks classes)

Silks Performance Workshop: Learn choreography set to Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy.” This piece works as a group act or a solo! The class will perform the piece for recording at the end of the session, and the group may be invited to perform at future shows. Individuals taking the class who complete the choreography will be invited to perform when shows are back! Students must be able to climb to height on silks AND either invert in crossback straddle OR be able to enter/balance a hip key at height.
Sundays, 3:30 – 4:30 pm, Sept 12 – Oct 17
Prerequisites: Please email us for more information about prerequisites for level classes. Special topics classes are open to any student that has taken at least one introductory class session in the applicable apparatus, or as specified.
Age limits: Students must be 16+
About the Instructor
Mackenzie has an extensive background in dance and movement performance and education, with studies at Macalester College and Iowa State University, and aerial training with NECCA and Born to Fly. Beginning her aerial arts journey in 2010, she practices, choreographs, directs, and performs in shows at MCS and other local venues. As an instructor, she strives to develop solid foundational skills in her students by focusing on each student’s unique physiology and needs to help them be the best aerialist they can be.
