Passes and Subscriptions: Swing State Aerial offers a 10-class pass good for Summer 2021, and a weekly flat-rate subscription to pay weekly that can be used to register for any regularly scheduled group silks class with Mackenzie. Please see our website for details.

Classes can be registered for as a full session or as individual classes. Registration for individual classes ends 4 hours before the start of class.

Silks Sequencing and Theory 101 – Learning how to connect and create transitions by way of understanding the physics of wraps and body positions.
Wednesdays, 8 pm, June 9 – July 14
Low-Flying Aerial: Play with using your body as a connection between your apparatus and the ground! We will explore big movements like sweeps and circles, spins, mounts, and other ways to use your apparatus down low. We will be using a variety of silks, sling, and dance trapeze – students that have taken at least one session on any apparatus are welcome.
Sundays, 1:00 – 2:00 pm, June 13 – July 18 (No class July 4)
Prerequisites: Please email us for more information about prerequisites for level classes. Special topics classes are open to any student that has taken at least one introductory class session in the applicable apparatus.
Age limits: Students must be 16+
About the Instructor
Mackenzie has an extensive background in dance and movement performance and education, with studies at Macalester College and Iowa State University, and aerial training with NECCA and Born to Fly. Beginning her aerial arts journey in 2010, she practices, choreographs, directs, and performs in shows at MCS and other local venues. As an instructor, she strives to develop solid foundational skills in her students by focusing on each student’s unique physiology and needs to help them be the best aerialist they can be.
