Next class session is a short 3 week session beginning Wednesday, January 17th, 2017.
$50 for a 3 week session. Payment can be made by check/cash on the first day of class. To reserve a place in class contact instructor.
This class is an accessible, all levels class for students to work on aerial fabric sling. We’ll learn sequences inside and outside the fabrics, postures, poses, and sequences as well as drops for students at higher levels. Class will include strength and flexibility exercises specific to sling as well as lots of time working with new shapes and skills in the fabric. You’ll build strength while you play. Class size is limited so register early.

Instructor Bio: Sandra Newbury loves to dance in the air and on stilts, and sometimes in the air on stilts. She has performed on many different apparatuses and has been teaching Aerial Dance to teens and adults for over 6 years. She joined the circus years ago, training with Mazo Movement Arts Center / Wild Rumpus Circus, Cycropia Aerial Dance, and the Mad City Flyers in Madison. She is passionate about safely bringing the expressive freedom of aerial dance and circus arts to all. She has teacher training in Rope, Aerial Fabrics and Trapeze through Paper Doll Militia, Born to Fly, and the New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA). Sandra loves to introduce new people to the fun of flying.
