Madison Circus Space is looking for several new board members!
We are looking for folks from all backgrounds who share a passion for circus and movement arts and are looking for a rewarding and meaningful way to give back to their community. The Madison Circus Space board is a working board, so there will be plenty of opportunities to take on projects that have a concrete, beneficial impact on the day-to-day operations of the space and the enjoyment of the membership.
If you….
- Are enthusiastic about circus and movement arts and helping more people to enjoy them;
- Have ideas about the future of MCS and how we can keep growing in even more amazing ways with the guidance of our strategic plan; and
- Have the capacity to attend monthly board meetings, regularly check email and participate in frequent decision making…
then we’d love for you to consider applying to become a board member! Applications are open to all, and no specific skill sets are required.
However, if you have any specific skill sets that might be useful for non-profit administration, we likely have responsibilities that would feel suited to your abilities. In particular, we’d love to find folks with a background in:
- Grant-writing and fundraising
- Diversity, equity and inclusion
- Community partnerships
- Law, especially contracts and non-profit issues
- Insurance (general liability, performing, teaching, commercial)
- Conflict resolution and mediation
- Volunteer management
- Committee leadership and/or project management
