Cyr Wheel, Chains, Chains in Heels, Lyra in Heels – with Alli!

October 10, 2026 by Juliet Landa

Allison is a high-level Cyr wheel artist who has a unique style with the wheel, drawing inspiration from skatepark culture, breakdancing, hip-hop, and other flow-based movement arts. Allison’s style is based on being fluid with the wheel and finding skills within natural pathways of movement. Her teaching strategy is to give students the tools to create beyond their skill levels and find their unique flow with the wheel.

“Allisin Chainz” has been performing on aerial chains for 7 years and developing a progressive and safe pathway into chains. She is teaching chains at studios around the country.

CHAINS, LYRA with HEELS, and CHAINS with HEELS Classes, $50 each
Come fly with the danger noodles, aka – aerial chains with THE Allisin Chainz!

Wednesday November 18 2026 6 – 7:15pm INTRO TO CHAINS
Learn the fundamentals required for aerial chain flow. We will be working with double looped chains. Students will learn various entrances and explore different shapes within the chains with safe exits and transitions. The first hour we will focus on structured learning, with the remaining time dedicated to creative play, free movement, and one-on-one instruction. See prerequisites* and clothing notes** below.

Friday November 20, 2026 6 – 7:15pm HOOPS AND HEELS (lyra and heels)
Fly on lyras with your favorite heels, boots, platforms and Pleasers. We will be flowing through sequences specifically structured for heel play. Moving through saucy shapes, to hi-light you and your heels! See prerequisites* below.

Friday November 20 2026 7:30 – 8:45pm STEEL AND STILETTOS (chains and heels)
An aerial chain class focused on heel play and spin with Allison Chains. We’ll move through heel techniques used to create spin, and maintain spin through flow and sequencing. Spin doesn’t mean speed, but control of your next movements and staying grounded through your apparatus. Bring your Pleasers and attitude! A mixed metal class to move to. See prerequisites* and clothing notes** below.

*Prerequisites: Previous aerial/lyra/pole experience. Able to pull up to seat and do long arm hang for 30seconds. Familiar with double knee and single knee hang. Comfortable fully suspended and able to initiate inversion mechanics independently. Spatial awareness and strong grip engagement.

**Clothing/Protection Requirements: Long sleeves and leg coverage in layers strongly recommended. Hoodies and fitted sweats can be beneficial. Rosin or Tough Skin permitted, but no chalk. A positive attitude toward your body’s natural pain tolerance, wherever that may be, is necessary!
