Sundays at 2 pm, May 21 – June 25, 2017
$10 per student per class
Everyone loves building new skills each week in class, but sometimes we get a little lost as to how to put those skills together! This class will feature games and exercises that focus on sequencing, expression, improvisation, movement styles, movement patterns, timing, and working in unison with classmates. Each student will use silks skills that they have already mastered in other classwork.
This class is open to any student age 16+ who has completed at least two sessions of silks instruction from any instructor. Class is limited to six students each week.
Class is on a drop-in basis only; an RSVP will be sent to interested students each week and spots assigned on a first-come basis. If you are interested in participating, please email email@example.com to be added to the weekly list.
Mackenzie has an extensive background in dance and movement performance and education, with a minor degree from Iowa State University. Adding in aerial arts in 2010, she practices, choreographs, directs, and performs in shows at MCS and other local venues. As an instructor, she strives to develop solid foundational skills in her students by focusing on each student’s unique physiology and needs to help them be the best aerialist they can be.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the RSVP list. If you are not a current Swing State student, please include information about your prior training.
